• i got the error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in /home/wc_main/real-motorsports.com/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 121

i did a little research and it seems everybody is saying to use a FTP that your host provides. The problem is a friend of mine set up my website under his hosting and i cant get in touch with him, so i dont have a way to log into my hosting. I know he used dream host but that is about it… Is there any other way to upload the Functions.php??
    any help is much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Clayton

  • There is no other way, you will need to have FTP credentials from host or be able to log into host for the specific account.

In the future do not use the WP editor to edit these files. Use FTP to download the file and edit in a plain text editor such as NotePad++ (and save an unedited version to put right back in case the edit was errant)

Have you lost contact with the ‘friend’?
