 * Hi,
 * Please restore that file with the original WordPress core file, and use this
   tutorial to change the memory limit instead: [https://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/](https://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/)
 * Let me know. 🙂

 * You are using the wrong character for the single quote in these lines:
 *     ```
       if ( is_multisite() ) {
       	define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', ‘256M');
       } else {
       	define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', ‘256M');
       }
       ```
 * The character before 256M should be the apostrophe character, the same character
   as after the 256M. Are you using the WordPress code editor (**Appearance → Editor**)?
   Make sure you are not using some sort of word processor to change your code,
   but instead, use a text editor. Or maybe you’re using some sort of special keyboard?
 * Just a note: it’s not safe to edit core WordPress files. So please don’t edit
   anything in /wp-includes/ or /wp-admin/ folder. Please use the wp-config.php
   fix instead. 🙂
