# Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION

 * Hi everyone
 * Hoping you are fine, i´m writing because i need help. I have been working on 
   a website using wordpress, and i installed a template called PROTHEME but when
   i’m going to activate it, Google Chrome shows me the next error regarding the
   import-functions.php file:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/marquiss/public_html/
   site/wp-content/themes/protheme/inc/admin/import-functions.php on line 202
 * My system requirements are: wordpress 4.8, PHP 5.4.45, and MySQL 5.5.51-38.2
 * Honestly o don´t know how to fix it, i´ll thank all the help.

 * You will have to go to the Theme developer’s website for support. Your question
   is related to the theme and not WordPress.
 * If I had to guess tho, I’d say you need to update PHP to v7

 * Via FTP or your hosting control panel’s file manager application, delete the 
   directory `wp-content/themes/protheme`
 * As you use a commercial theme/plugin and need support, please use their official
   support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

   You are their customer; I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
