 * I am trying to install word press at my hosting site. I copy all the wp files
   to public_html, then use my browser to launch Word Press and I get this message.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/public_html/
   wp-includes/functions.php on line 3668
 * Can you help?

 * Hi, svswordpress, & welcome.
 * It’d be very helpful if you’d provide a link to your site. This is often an error
   that occurs w/older PHP versions. You don’t say who your host is, but often there
   is a facility in the website control panel to change the PHP version. You might
   try that.
 * Have you created a database for this WordPress install & connected the install
   to the database? Conversely, did you use some sort of script autoinstaller in
   your control panel to do that for you?

    Current site – Sweetwatervideoservices.com
 * I am trying to replace this by using ftp to copy a new version of Word Press 
   into the public_html folder.
    I then use my browser to launch the site and then
   I get the error message. I understood I would be prompted to connect to a database
   when I launch a new version of word press.

 * svswordpress, I’m seeing your site. You’ll need to edit your wp-config.php & 
   make sure the database hostname, username, & password is correct, but I suspect
   it is, else I wouldn’t be seeing the site. I also got a login page when I went
   to wp-admin.
 * what did you type to access the site when you got that error?
