 * Hi All,
 * So firstly yes this/similar issue has been raised before. See [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/exception-when-switching-from-php-7-4-to-8-0/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/exception-when-switching-from-php-7-4-to-8-0/).
   So long story short, upgrading PHP to 8.0 or 8.1 to find the error:
 * **PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function parse_ini_file()**
 * I contacted the host who said parse_ini_file() is a security issue and is turned
   off. On one of my sites they have enabled it, yet another host will not.
 * So two issues, (1) without having it enabled is there any other solution? and(
   2) this seems to be a common problem, is there a page, or could we make one,
   to explain that parse_ini_file is no longer any more of an issue than any other
   similar command?
 * Thanks.

       defined upcoming release will have it.
    2. No, There is not any page for it on our site, Generally, this support forum
       is useful for that.
