 * We are considering of getting The File Away plugin. We want to create 2 separate
   directories in the backend of wordpress and put some files in each. We would
   then want to assign an access password for each of those directories.
    Then we
   want to create a page on our website’s front-end that would allow users to access
   those files by entering their assigned password. Is that possible using your
   plugin ? Or is your plugin only for managing and viewing files in the front-end?
 * Thanks,
    Mips

 * You can password protect the directory on your server, but Chrome sometimes has
   issues with that. Alternatively, you can use File Away’s encryption, so users
   can’t see where the files are located, and then just passeord protect the pages
   where the File Away shortcodes are posted.

 * Thanks.
    Not exactly sure by what you mean “Chrome sometimes has issues with
   that”. Does that mean that using Chrome, the user can circumvent the password,
   or is it simply that he will not have access to the files in chrome ?
 * Also, do you know please if there is an ability to set multiple passwords to
   access the same file directory ? Such that each person can receive a different
   personal password to access his or her files ?
 * Thanks,

 * Chrome sometimes has issues downloading a file from a password protected server
   directory. Opening the files in a new window always works with chrome though.
   You’d have to experiment to see. It’s a cache issue I believe.
 * Yes, you can set multiple passwords for a directory, I believe. You’d do that
   on your cpanel, or talk to your webhost about that.
