# password hashcode & error message

 * I really hope that I can get an answer here as there does seem to be alot of 
   unanswered questions. I have 2 problems. The first one is that the passwords 
   in my external database are md5 hashed with a salt, I don’t know how to write
   the hashcode for that.
 * My second problem is that I am getting this error on the wordpress log in page.
   
   _Warning: mysql\_fetch\_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result
   resource in /home4/embroid/public\_html/wptest/wp-content/plugins/external-db-
   auth-reloaded/pp\_db\_auth.php on line 385_ I don’t know how to fix that. I will
   be very grateful for any assistance. Alice
