# Password reset problem

 * Hi there,
 * I think I have the correct code in the correct places but my “reset password”
   link in the email the site sends out doesn’t work. For some reason, when redirecting
   to the password reset page, the / is removed from the URL, screwing the page 
   up.
 * In my Forgot password page, my shortcode is [forgot-password reset_email_url=”
   password-reset/”]
 * In my Password reset page, the shortcode is [confirm-forgot-password]

 * We just had a look at your site and it seems like you have something removing
   the slash from all URLs (the trailing slash) on your site, not just the password
   reset page. WordPress always appends a trailing slash (even if you don’t type
   it), so something is removing it. Check to see if you have a plugin installed
   that might do this, or if there’s an option in your theme for this, or if your.
   htaccess file has been altered.

 * Thanks for that. It was permalink settings that caused the trailing slash to 
   disappear.
 * That has been sorted… unfortunately, the page isn’t populating with the password
   reset form. (goes to page, shows heading etc but page is blank)

   page? At the moment, I see the form/fields on both of those pages. Did you figure
   out what was going on since you wrote your last message? If not, could you let
   us know what steps we need to take to recreate the issue of the form not showing
   up? If we need to have an account, could you send us a link to the page with 
   the register shortcode on it?

 * Hi there,
 * It’s the [http://pefferywayassociation.scot/password-reset/](http://pefferywayassociation.scot/password-reset/)
   page that is causing the issue. When you view the page using the address above,
   all is good and the fields are present. The issue occurs when the user is sent
   to that page by clicking the link in the email they receive… seems to be an issue
   with the system attempting to pre-populate the fields on redirect.

 * We’d probably need to see the link in an email to have an idea what the problem
   might be, because like you said, the page that you linked to loads correctly.

   so that we can take a look?
