I understand your point that the site is a legal site.

I am looking for a gateway plugin for payments that are considered high risk

Please consider that because of the business model, you might receive some payment disputes, and you will want to be prepared to minimize them if possible (considering that disputes typically might include a fee).

While there are many Payment gateways on our WooCommerce marketplace, we don’t have any control over the restrictions or products that are sold using the payment gateways.

Please note, each payment gateway has its own policies, you can see the payment gateways that support businesses based in Italy here, I am not sure if they will work according to your needs, I’d recommend to reach out the payment gateways mentioned previously, or searching on the web for phrases like “WooCommerce high risk payment gateway Italy” and similar phrases to find other options.

I am looking, but it seems really difficult to find a suitable one. Unbelievable…

I’m can feel your frustration. I really hoped we can offer one of our official solutions but unfortunately, Stripe doesn’t allow merchants from these industries to use their platform.

That said, you’re not limited to payment gateways on WooCommerce.com only, you can find many options in the WordPress plugin repository.

I did some search and found this guide that explains the difference between the top 5 high-risk payment gateways.

Before integrating any third-party solutions into your site, it’s important to do your research. Keep in mind that these solutions are not monitored by the WooCommerce team in any way. So, it’s essential to make sure that the solution you choose is reliable and trustworthy.

You could check the plugins below since these are known to support high-risk payments and work well in Italy.

1. Braintree for WooCommerce
2. Payline Data
3. BlueSnap
