 * Is there any way to increase the actual speed at which the redirects happen? 
   Testing this link (athemes.com/go/divi) here [http://www.serp-perception.com/redirect-speed-tester.php](http://www.serp-perception.com/redirect-speed-tester.php)
   it seems to be taking quite a bit over a second on average (around 1.3s) and 
   this seems slow compared to other links I’m testing.

 * WordPress is loaded up for each redirect, it must be in order to execute the 
   plugin code, and store stats etc. So you can try to identify any themes or plugins
   on your site that might be adding significantly to the overall WordPress loading
   time to help speed up the redirects.
