# permalink breaking

 * I have wordpress set up on a godaddy host with git, everything works ok except
   when I make a push through git the permalink break and i can only access the 
   homepage.
 * Each time i do a push i have to wordpress admin -> setting -> permalink and save
   to resolve the issue. Note the settings don’t change.

 * – Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and renaming
   your WordPress .htaccess file. If that works, then try reading [Using_Permalinks ](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks)
   before setting a custom permalink structure again.
    – If clearing your Permalinks
   does not alleviate the issue, this could be attributed to anything from a web
   server configuration to a bad WordPress install.
