# Permalink Default Page Error

 * I’m currently trying to get my permalink default page working. Currently when
   I do [http://www.website.com/home](http://www.website.com/home) and [http://www.website.com/about](http://www.website.com/about)
   is working. In the backend I set the Reading Setting > Static Page to Home.
 * When I go back to [http://www.website.com](http://www.website.com) it doesn’t
   work and give me a 404 – File or directory not found.
