# Permalink help

 * By mistake, I created several copies of a page. I deleted all but one, **join-
   us-2**. I want the permalink to be **join-us**. But when I try to edit the permalink
   to be **join-us**, it won’t let me and keeps the name **join-us-2**. How can 
   I edit the permalink to be **join-us**?

 * You need to delete join-us (in trash ?).

 * Didn’t think of that. I had one version in Pages, another in Posts. So I deleted
   both, emptied the trash. Didn’t help. Tried to create a new page, still getting
   join-us-2.

 * OK. I had an image named join-us.jpg. Deleted it, replaced it with a file named
   join-us-2000×600.jpg. I was then able to rename my page from join-us-2 to be 
   join-us. Apparently the image name too was a problem! Thanks.
