# permalink migration – automatic with 2.3?

 * hi there. I want to migrate my permalinks from the post id format to post title.
 * To avoid the loss of search engine page rank, I realize I need to use redirects
   so old links aren’t broken. What I’m unclear on whether I should use Dean’s (
   [http://www.deanlee.cn/wordpress/permalinks-migration-plugin/](http://www.deanlee.cn/wordpress/permalinks-migration-plugin/))
   or Scotty Yang’s ( [http://scott.yang.id.au/code/permalink-redirect/](http://scott.yang.id.au/code/permalink-redirect/))
   plugin to manage the redirects, or whether I don’t need it with the newest version
   of WP, as this article describes ( [http://www.dnseo.net/wordpress-301-permalink-url-redirect/](http://www.dnseo.net/wordpress-301-permalink-url-redirect/))
   I don’t need it because it’s all built into the latest WP.
 * So I’m not sure what to do, and thought I’d see y’all advice before I go down
   one path.
 * Lastly, I use feedburner for RSS feeds – and heard the plugins break those feeds.
   If doing one of the above 3 options, what do I need to do to make sure the feeds
   don’t break?
