# permalink problem

 * I to all,
    i need help from some wordpress guru… i have just setup a web site
   with wordpress hosted from godaddy.com, my problem is that when i choose the 
   permalink option /date/title/ i can’t go to the page request. The link in the
   title bar is correct but the page there isn’t. I uploaded again the wordpress
   folder to my webspace, but nothing is changed. Maybe it is a godaddy problem ?

 * GoDaddy uses both windows and linux servers. If on Windows, you might want to
   request a move to linux. Also if on windows, you might try adding `index.php`
   to the front of your custom permalinks structure (example of that in the link
   above) to see if that helps anything.
 * And of course, make sure your .htaccess is writable — the permalinks page will
   tell you if it isn’t.

 * actually sometime the .htaccess file isn’t writable, but wordpress doesn’t know
   it, so it tells you everything is dandy even though it isn’t…
