Title: permalink problem Last modified: March 26, 2019 --- # permalink problem * Resolved [Sparkey](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sparkey/) * (@sparkey) * [7 years, 2 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/permalink-problem-104/) * I have searched everywhere and haven’t found the answer. * I believe the problem is that I have wordpress core files in their own directory. * the problem is the links to the events on the event calendar are rewritten with the directory name, but that isn’t where the event is located so I get a 404. * I am sure I explaining this poorly so there is a link to events page, clicking on an event will show 404 * (I have tried “_Go to Events > Settings > Pages in the admin menu and set ‘Disable title rewriting?’ to Yes in the Events List/Archives panel.
