# Permalink Problem

 * Hello,
 * I’m wondering why the Permalink of the subcategory “anthidium” for example shows
   a “-2”?

 * I have several sub categories of “Bienenlexikon” and only “Andrena” is not showing
   the “-2”.

 * My guess is that you already had a Category called anthidium, and you deleted
   it, then you re-created it. But WordPress storage this data in a “trash can” –
   so it could not create it using the same name.
 * Do a search in your database for this string :
    ‘/anthidium/’ using this plugin:
   [https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/](https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/)
   Do a test run just to see if it exists.
 * If it does exist, I would then use this :
    [https://interconnectit.com/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/](https://interconnectit.com/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/)
   to replace the instances of anthidium-2.
 * Then re-save your permalinks :

 * Get a backup first!
