# Permalink Problem

    Pls visit our blog at [http://www.jayz.co.za](http://www.jayz.co.za) – Permalinks
   dont work. I’ve looked at the Codex files at [http://codex.wordpress.org/Permalinks](http://codex.wordpress.org/Permalinks)
   but I cant find a solution. Please help!

 * No, I just changed it to the standard link WordPress gives (like [http://www.jayz.co.za/?page_id=26](http://www.jayz.co.za/?page_id=26))
   but i want to use the “postname”

 * You said you’ve read the info page about permalinks, but that you couldn’t find
   the answer to your problem.
 * What have you done? Did you create the .htaccess file & give it the correct permissions?
 * If you did, what are its contents?
 * Do you know if you’ve got the mod rewrite enabled on your server? If you haven’t
   the section that starts Using Permalinks Without mod_rewrite might be useful!
