# Permalink settings

 * Hi,
 * I’m trying to adjust the permalink settings on my wordpress site. For example,
   I might select day and name as the link structure.
 * Now, when you navigate to the home page, the links in the menu take you to the
   correct URL, according to your new link structure. However, there is no page 
   there – I just get a 404 not found error.
 * Is there something I need to press to update all of my pages? What has gone wrong?

    I just had to change the permissions of the .htaccess file to 666.
