# Permalink Settings not work

 * hi,
    My Permalink Settings doesn’t work on my laptop.It is ok to change the common
   settings,and every time i changed,like’/%postname%/’,i get ‘Permalink structure
   updated’.It seems this settings work well on my dashboard.Yet,it can not open
   any page in the new site,except the home page,and i get ‘HTTP 404 NOT Found’.
   My laptop uses windows xppro,apache2.2,php5.3,mysql5.5. Any help will be appreciated,
   thanks.

 * well，i guess i’ve turned it on.I find ‘LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.
   so’ in the httpd.conf of Apache.Also,i use the function ‘<?php phpinfo(); ?>’
   to check it.This function gives me the page where i could find ‘Loaded Modules:
   mod_rewrite’.
    On the other hand,the ‘.htaccess’ file has been created automatically.
   The first three line of it is ‘# BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine
   On’ everything seems ok,and i don’t know what else i can do.

 * I think windows XP has an issue with permalinks, you might find that the default
   setting is the only way to run them.

    yeah,only the default setting works well now.I used to try iis6
   with windows,it turned out to be disappointing.Then i choosed Apache.Since the
   market for WAMP is large,i think there would be a considerable chance of permalink
   setting.Perhaps i’m wrong.
