 * Right now, my events are posting to url.com/blog/event/event-name-here
 * Is it possible to restructure the publishing so that they go to url.com/events/
   event-name-here ?
 * I would like to have a page, url.com/events and each event becomes a subset or
   child of this events page. How can I set this up?

 * This is not something I can help you with because it seems that your website 
   is located in a subfolder of your domain (/blog). Relocate your website to the
   main folder and everything should be ok.
