 * I had a developer set up a second website for me and then took over the site
   to add my content. I have just noticed the permalink structure is
    [http://www.sitename.com/index.php/pagename](http://www.sitename.com/index.php/pagename).
   Is the index.php necessary or good practice as our other site does not contain
   this? I would prefer not to have this if it is optional but keen to get the best
   practice from an SEO perspective. The site also contains a blog if that makes
   a difference.
 * Many thanks

 * I am still having an issue with my permalinks as above. My developer believes
   the problem is with the Host Server and the Host claims the problem is with WP.
 * Can anyone offer any help please?
 * Thank you.
