 * Hi,
    I have a custom template for my homepage. The menu in this template point
   to my blog. I am using the followin line `wp_list_categories('include=1&title_li
   =');`
 * Now this line gets to the blog without a problem, but the url is [http://www.blabla.com/category/blog/](http://www.blabla.com/category/blog/)

   What I am trying to achive is to have a url like this: [http://www.blabla.com/blog/](http://www.blabla.com/blog/)
   How can I do that? ….. By the way when I type directly [http://www.blabla.com/blog/](http://www.blabla.com/blog/)
   I am getting an 404 error.

 * Switch to wp_list_pages, create & publish a blank Blog page and then use the
   [Page Links To plugin](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/) to
   redirect it to the correct url.

 * [@new](https://wordpress.org/support/users/new/) Nine: That plugin works well,
   but it’s bad manners at least (and against forums rules at worst) to link to
   your own commercial site and articles. [http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome](http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome)

 * Isn’t that precisely what you (and many others) are doing by having your name
   linked to your commercial website? Should I copy and paste my entire tutorial
   here when a link is much easier?
 * I understand the _spirit_ of a link policy (keeps sites and forums clean, though
   I couldn’t find anything in the rules prohibiting what I did here as I hardly
   spammed and just one of my 20 or so answers on this site have a link), but it’s
   a little nuts to say, “Go ahead and link to a helpful tutorial to answer a question…
   just don’t link to anything that you wrote or could possibly explain best to
   the asker.”

 * Hi,
    thanks for your suggestions….. but, could I do it by code and not installing
   any plug-ins?

 * The linking is at the discretion of the forum administrators.
