# Permalink Structure is stuck

 * The permalink structure on one of my websites is stuck on category/post-name.
   I have deleted or turned off all plugins. I have tried a different theme. I have
   looked everywhere and haven’t found an answer.
    I am not sure when or how it 
   got changed but every-time i try to return it to just post-name it defaults right
   back to category/postname.

 * Have you tried changing the permalink structure? Usually found in your Settings
   > Permalink from your Dashboard.

 * You also need to make sure that your website has permissions to change the .htaccess
   file! If not then you will have to change it manually.
 * If you have tried Settings > Permalink from your Dashboard as Jose said, you 
   should see a message at the bottom if it wasn’t able to update the file!

 * No messages. Same thing. After I change it to /%postname%/ and click on save 
   changes it goes right back to the custom structure…URL and /%category%/%postname%/
 * I have never seen this before….

 * I can’t find anybody that knows why this is happening!

 * FYI….It was the WP EZ Silo Plugin.
