Permalinks not rewriting

    I had a WordPress site setup for me – I am now “in charge” of it.

    I have set Permalinks as

    /blog/%postname%

    and the URL’s show this.

    However the sitemap produced by Google Sitemap plugin is showing

    2081/some title
    2082/the next title
    etc etc

    They also set up lots of static pages and the URL’s there have been set with a hierachy when some of the “pages” in the tree don’t exist – they are just in the URL’s

    e.g.

    /thesite/PageSomething/Page1
    /thesite/PageSomething/Page2

    but there is no “PageSomething”

    I tried some of the tree view plugins and whilst they accurately created cascading menus to my new page layout the URLs remain as above.

    Are the 2 things related? Anything easy I can do??
