Permalinks wordpress database error

    Hello,

    Recently I have had a problem come up with my permalinks, wordpress is only letting me set the default method for the permalink,

    When I try to select the option for date and name based or custom it won’t let me

    and it shows this on the permalink options page

    WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘option_description’ in ‘field list’]
