# Persistent sidebar

 * I have a problem with the sidebars using the Metroblog theme (SMThemes). I have
   them set at the theme level to be on the right. I have 2 posts, in 2 different
   categories, where I have specified “No toolbars” in the “Content layout”. They
   still show up… In the post “Preview changes” they don’t show up! There’s no way
   to get rid of them for those posts, or any new post either.
 * I have tried with IE, Chrome and Firefox = Same problem
    I have tried with WP
   3.7.1 and 3.8 (upgrade) = Same problem

 * WPyogi, there are 2 reasons that I posted here…
    1. I posted on the SMThemes 
   forum a few days ago and haven’t received any response. 2. I posted here because
   I thought that the problem might be WordPress related, not there related.

 * That’s certainly unfortunate, but you actually may want to rethink using a theme
   from that vendor at all – as they do not comply with the GPL licensing requirements
   of WP – [http://wordpress.org/about/license/](http://wordpress.org/about/license/).
   These forums do not support non-GPL themes at all. This article may be informative

 * #2 – the way to test that is to deactivate your plugins and switch to a default
   theme (twentytwelve or twentythirteen or twentyfourteen) – see if you have the
   same issue. If so, we can work on that problem.
