# php 5.6

 * I see the php7 requirement. Is it an absolute requirement? I can’t upgrade the
   php in this case.
    Is there a workaround, or delete the plugin? Thank you

   reaching out. At this time, 7.0 is recommended, but not required. 5.6 should 
   work as expected with the current version of the plugin (2.1.9).
 * We can’t guarantee that this will be the case in future releases, but we’ll communicate
   accordingly if it’s not supported. We highly recommend upgrading to 7.x as soon
   as you can for security reasons.
