 * Hello
    I have been using PHP 5.6 on my website. I updated to PHP 7.2 although
   the day that I upgraded it seemed to be okay (I didn’t go to the Dashboard however).
   The next day when I tried to go to the Dashboard, it displayed a white page with
   a message “critical error” and was locked. With the help of the host goDaddy
   who restored the PHP5.6 for me I was able to access it again. So how can I upgrade
   to PHP 7.2 without crashing. Particularly since I don’t know anything about PHP
   The WordPress is up to date. Thank you Myo Thant

 * It appears you have a plugin or theme that’s either not PHP 7 ready or just out
   of date. Without seeing any explicit error message(s), it’s hard to say.
 * There are a couple of ways to proceed….
 * 1. Disable all plugins and switch to the twentytwenty theme. Then, update your
   PHP. If that succeeds (and it should, if WP is up to date), turn things back
   on until you find the incompatibility.
 * 2. Enable debugging then update to PHP 7.[https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/](https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/)

 * Thank you. Will try as suggested.
