# PHP 7 upgrades breaking WordPress

 * As my various hosting options have upgraded their PHP to version 7, I’m finding
   all of my WordPress installs break and I need to dial back the version of PHP
   to 5.6. Is this a WordPress issue that will be fixed eventually, or something
   to do with my theme(s)? If it’s the theme, is there an easy fix?

 * WordPress itself is PHP7 compatible. I run a LOT of sites on PHP 7.0.x and 7.1.
   x. Make sure your plugins and themes are up to date.
 * Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/
