 * I tried to upgrade the PHP version from PHP 7.4 to 8.1, but then I got a blank
   screen in the frontend. After deactivating Yoast SEO, the problems disappeared
   and my website was visible again.
    Is Yoast SEO not compatible with PHP 8.1?

 * Me having the same issue as well. This version seems not to be compatible with
   PHP8.1. Upgrading to this Yoast SEO version made my entire website down, including
   wp-admin, plugins, front-end.

 * Hi [@deroderuiter](https://wordpress.org/support/users/deroderuiter/), [@it4craigslist](https://wordpress.org/support/users/it4craigslist/),
   and [@butterflymedia](https://wordpress.org/support/users/butterflymedia/)
 * At the moment, we do support PHP 8.0. We are also working towards PHP 8.1 compatibility,
   however, as of now, WordPress and Yoast SEO are not yet fully compatible yet
   with it.
 * Once the specific version is supported all of our customers and users will be
   informed, via our newsletter and changelog updates.
 * The current workaround would be to downgrade PHP to v8.0 version.
 * If you are interested in learning more about PHP 8 compatibility, please have
   a look at our [2020 WordPress and PHP 8 compatibility reports](https://developer.yoast.com/blog/the-2020-wordpress-and-php-8-compatibility-report/).
 * There’s also an open issue on GitHub [here](https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/17772).
 * Thank you for your understanding and patience.

 * It is resolved in 17.9. This was a Yoast SEO plugin issue, not WordPress.
