PHP 8 Compatibility

    Hi,

    I note that on ww.wp.xz.cn the Asset Cleanup plugin makes no reference to compatibility with PHP versions. Are you able to confirm whether or not the plugin is currently compatible with PHP 8.0?

    @richieps the plugin has been tested extensively in PHP 8 and there aren’t any reported problems. Now, I would recommend upgrading to PHP 8 when you’re absolutely sure that all the plugins from your website, including the theme, are working fine in PHP 8. For instance, it’s enough for one plugin to be incompatible and it could generate errors in the checkout page if the website is an eCommerce one and that could prevent you from getting sales. It’s a rare case indeed, but you don’t want to take any chances 😉

    Thanks very much for the confirmation.

    I know, it’s a tricky issue, isn’t it? I may well wait a few more weeks (months?) to see what developments there are before I upgrade.
