With * There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress. * Bringing it back to 7.4 is fine. But as you can see…the error message is not very helpfull. I have managed to update other sites with other themes to 8.x without any issue. So my focus lies on the theme I am using : FinTheme (bought a couple of years ago). Also I have (de)activated several plugins and so far no succes. So……how do I approach this in such a way I can peel of layer by layer and rule out….and solve it. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. Disabled the WP Bakery. and move to php 8.0 –> no success> So I will follow the steps now you mentioned. The Theme as well as the WPBakery cause the errors…. Sad…..considering that I paid for both of them…..
