# Php code for group ad

 * Hello I tried using the php code for normal ads and changed it with the ID number
   of the group ad but it doesn’t work. Is there a way for me to make the group 
   ad work with php code?
   I tried this one – <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[the_ad id
   =”18″]’); ?>this one too – <?php the_ad(’18’); ?>I am looking to add it insdie
   the single.php of my websiteThanks

 * There is also[ a php sniped for groups](https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/ad-groups/#PHP_Function)
   available to call them directly.
 * But to create a more robust and customizable ad setup, I recommend using the 
   [php code for the manual placements](https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/placements/#Manual_Placement)
   instead. Placements allow you to use ads or groups and also additional features
   in the future.
