PHP 'Creating default object from empty value' warning on updating to PHP 5.4

Hi,
I have updated PHP to version 5.4.11 on my server and now I am getting several errors, from lines 62-80 of bp-gtm.php on all of my webpages, e.g.:
http://openparadigmproject.com
Do you have an idea of what is causing these warnings and how it can be fixed?
