 * Hi,
 * I’m using version 2.0.65 and I’m getting the following PHP error:
 * `Fatal error: Call to undefined function excerpt_remove_blocks()`
    `/wp-content/
   plugins/post-grid/includes/post-grid-layout-elements.php on line 1756`
 * I have narrowed it down to the fact that my layout is using `Excerpt` and the‘
   Excerpt source’ is set to `Excerpt first then Content`.
 * The error also occurs when I change the source to `Content`
 * The error goes away when I change the source to `Excerpt field` but then I have
   no excerpt show up on the frontend due to having nothing saved in that field.
 * The layout was converted from ‘old style’ to the ‘new style’. I have also tried
   recreating an entirely new layout and I’m also having the same problem.
 * Any ideas?

 * Thanks for your post,
 * did you installed & activate “Classic Editor” plugin, might cause the issue,
   because “excerpt_remove_blocks” is Gutenberg editor function might not loading
   correctly.

 * Hi, [@andyclarke](https://wordpress.org/support/users/andyclarke/) Could you
   please try reinstall from GitHub and confirm me if the issue fixed, later i will
   update on repo. i am not sure which version of WP are you using, also tried with“
   Classic Editor” plugin activate can’t see these errors. so i guess you are still
   using older version of WP.
 * Please download and reinstall from here [https://github.com/pickplugins/post-grid](https://github.com/pickplugins/post-grid)

    I would recommend using latest version
   of WP to avoid security issues. and update plugin and themes also. although glad
   to know issue fixed this might help other who still using older version of WP
 * I will update plugin on repo.
