Every day my error logs says:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::getNextDate()

for a plugin that I use named The Events Calendar PRO. My Events Calendar is working perfectly, and today the tech support for The Events Calendar examined everything and found no such error occurring and my own testing shows that my calendar is working perfectly.

So, is their a bug causing this error log?

I did a Google search for: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::getNextDate() and found this forum topic that you posted on the Events Calendar Forum site: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/php-fatal-error-get/

From the description of the issue/problem it does not sound like a problem that BPS Pro is causing. I checked the BPS Pro forum and did not find any forum topics regarding/related to this php error. So since the php error appears to be an intermittent error and not a constant error then the most logical things that cause intermittent errors are: intermittent server hiccups/cache/caching plugins/connectivity/etc. For example if while the function getNextDate() is being processed and your server hiccups/loses connectivity/or similar server issues then you would see this type of php error. So what you should do at this point is check your server logs for clues that there are intermittent server issues/problems going on at the same time the php error occurs. If you are unable to access/view your server logs then contact your host and have them check the server logs around the same time you are seeing these php errors.

Note: In the future please post BPS Pro question in the BPS Pro forum here: http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/forum/bulletproof-security-pro/#new-post. Just makes it easier to find things later using forum searches in the BPS Pro forum. 😉

    Hi AITpro,

I did more testing several times last night and today and checking of error logs for both AITpro and cpanel. Also I checked with my webhost and they confirmed that I have had continuous uptime for the past 9 days when I started service with them, and do not see any hiccups around the time the PHP error is occurring. I will monitor the website this eve during the time this has been occurring.

Thanks for the heads up to use the BPS Pro forum instead of here. I clicked on a support link somewhere and it directed me to this location and I apologize for being in the wrong place.

Should I close this out here and re-open it on the forum?

It is fine to handle this thing here in the WP forum and next time just post in the BPS Pro forum. I don’t think this issue is related to or caused by BPS Pro. It may be related to another plugin that you have installed. Typically intermittent issues have to do with plugins that do caching or other things that change or can get corrupted like cache. Another possibility is that a hacker could be attacking your site with an attack string that triggers that fatal error, which is not very common, but does occaisonally happen.
