# PHP Error on Activation

 * I am installing the Post SMTP Plugin into a new site. The plugin installs correctly
   but will not activate. It fails with a PHP error caused by a null argument to
   a function.
 * Using “%omitted% to hide site information, the PHP error is:
   PHP Fatal error:
   Uncaught TypeError: Argument 1 passed to Freemius::get_api_user_scope_by_user()
   must be an instance of FS_User, null given, called in /nas/content/live/%omitted%/
