 * Free hosting is almost always problematic. Talk to freehostia.com or use their
   one click WordPress installer.

 * Hi!
    I am having exactly the same problem as parijatkaul described above. I pay
   for my host services thouhg, and my host help desk told me my PHP is running
   just fine. Still, I have the same problem every time I am trying to run wp-admin/
   setup-config.php. I read all forum problem related posts, followed the install
   instructions carefully, but nothing works. So, I downloaded and unzipped wordpress
   3.03., opened wp-config-semple.php, changed to my databese, user name, password
   and database host (at some attempt even changed Authentication Unique Keys and
   Salts) and saved it as wp-config.php. Then I created wordpress folder in my public_html
   directory and uploaded content from my unzipped wordpress folder. Now when run
   ftp://www.mysite.com/public_html/wordpess/wp-config.php white page appears. Then
   I tried ftp://www.mysite.com/public_html/wordpess/wp-admin/setup-config.php to
   manually add database, user name and other information needed. Before doing that
   I already deleted wp-config.php file as suggested on the beginning of the page.
   But still it doesn’t work, I am back at the same page. Than I copy paste hole
   content from wp-config.php file into empty dialog box on the botom of the page
   and that’s when I get message parijatkaul posted above. The same page appears
   also when I run wordpess/wp-admin/install.php I also tried, as suggested by my
   host help, to upload contet directly to my public_html directory, so my page
   looks like public_html/wp-config.php, but it doesn’t work the same. At the end
   I deleted my database and did everything from the beginning but, you already
   guess, the problem is still here.
 * Slowly, this 5 minutes install is turning into 5 days agony :/
 * I would rally appreciate if somebody could help! Thanks in advance!

 * hi parijatkaul
 * WordPress CMS is PHP dependent and build in PHP code. In order to run the CMS
   you must need first to install PHP in your server.
 * You can research in web on how to install PHP depending you server.
 * Hope that helps.

 * I don’t have my own server. I pay server services at local host company. They
   have PHP 5 enabled and running just fine, and they also say that problem I have
   is not related with them.
 * But thx for trying anyway!
 * If you or somebody else have some other suggestions, pleas send them!

 * This error message literally can -only- come up in the event that PHP is NOT
   running on the server, If PHP Parses the file, then you will NOT see the message.
 * If you right click the page, and select View Source, You will see PHP code, If
   PHP was enabled on your account, you would not see the PHP code.
 * Send your host a link to the installation script and let them look at it, and
   correct your account.

 * I made it through the installation!
    I called my host help again, and we accidentally
   discover the error. The problem was I was typing ftp://www. all the time (as
   you can also see in my previous posts above). When I ran just mysite.com/index.
   php a page where I should enter my site name, password and install wordpress
   appeared. I hope this information will help some other beginner like myself.
 * Thanks for the help!
