# PHP parse error – unexpected $end… problem with upload-related plugins

 * In bbpress I’m having trouble uploading any images (bbPress Post Toolbar) or 
   attachments (GD bbPress Attachments) using two different plugins.
 * My error log refers to an error in my theme (JQ) “PHP Parse error: syntax error,
   unexpected $end in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/jq/
   comments.php on line 70, referer: [http://mydomain.com/](http://mydomain.com/)
   ”
 * I’m wondering if this theme code is tripping up my bbpress installation and how
   if at all I can get past this issue. Any help much appreciated as my site is 
   at a standstill until I can allow users (and myself) to insert images. Whenever
   I do try to insert an image this is what’s added to the post comment area: <img
   src=”” alt=”” />
 * I’m using Chrome in WP 3.2.1, bbpress 2.0
