 * I get this error when trying to activate this plugin: “Error: Current PHP version
   does not meet minimum requirements for Constant Contact + WooCommerce.” I checked
   the PHP version of my web server and it is 7.3.6. I have the previous version
   of the Constant Contact WooCommerce plugin, but I got a notification to switch
   to this plugin. Are there any tips to alleviate this PHP version error?
 * Thanks.

 * Just for information sake, which plugin are you being prompted to switch away
   from?
 * Trying to locate where messaging like that may be in the plugin so I can check
   and confirm how things may be displayed, but I am not succeeding yet.
 * Can you share a screenshot of the error you’re seeing there?

 * I was prompted via the WooCommerce Constant Contact plugin to switch over to
   this plugin. I’m not sure how to send a screenshot on this site, but there are
   no other elements on the screen when the error occurs besides “Error: Current
   PHP version does not meet minimum requirements for Constant Contact + WooCommerce.”.
   It’s the only item on the page when I try to activate the plugin.

 * Gotcha, unless I’m still mistaken, you’re coming over from [https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-constant-contact/](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-constant-contact/)
 * I’m curious about a number of things, because details aren’t quite adding up
   here. Note I don’t think it’s something you did.
 * First would be how did you go about installing our plugin here [https://wordpress.org/plugins/constant-contact-woocommerce/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/constant-contact-woocommerce/)?
   Was it via the WP admin dashboard? or did you manually upload or do some sort
   of version control deployment? Asking this part because if you didn’t actually
   meet the minimum required PHP, WordPress wouldn’t allow you to install via the
   UI. However, that could be sidestepped by the manual install part.
 * Second, I’m still curious what may be providing the notice and everything, as
   I’m still not seeing that specific error available in our source code.
 * Third, in which way are you verifying your active PHP version. For example are
   you checking via your hosting admin panel? or perhaps the Site Health panel available
   in the Tools menu? I believe some hosting allows configuring different sites
   to use different versions, and it may not always match up evenly.

 * I came from the WooCommerce plugin you mentioned and I installed it via a manual
   install. I checked my PHP version using myPHPAdmin on my server’s cPanel. Do
   you suggest another method of verifying my PHP version? This is the first time
   I’ve had a version issue, so I could have checked it wrong?

 * What does the “Server” section report for PHP version when you visit /wp-admin/
   site-health.php?tab=debug ?
 * Make sure to append that url snippet to your own domain/install so that it loads
   up for you. It should show a PHP version.
 * For example [https://cloudup.com/cj93h_ofiyQ](https://cloudup.com/cj93h_ofiyQ)

 * When I go to that page on my site it says I have version: “PHP version 7.1.14(
   Supports 64bit values)”.

 * Well there we go, sounds like you’re running not quite high enough of a version,
   and probable that the hosting admin setting is reading from a different source.
 * I’d check around your admin panel for PHP version settings or if needed, reach
   out to hosting support to help with that.

 * Plugin does not activate. After manually uploading the Zip folder to the Add
   plug-ins page in WordPress (Version 5.4.1), it indicated that the files had been
   installed fine. But when activating the plug-in it says: “Current PHP version
   does not meet minimum requirements for Constant Contact + WooCommerce.”
 * We are running PHP v7.4.6 — this is the very latest version.
 * The activation problem does not seem to be with the version of PHP being too
   old.
 * I went through the WordPress plug-in directory instead and searched for “Constant
   Contact + WooCommerce” and it shows it listed there. But it says in a red box
   on top: “This plugin doesn’t work with your version of PHP. Learn more about
   updating PHP.” That’s not possible if it is the latest version.

 * [@jduy1](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jduy1/) what does your Site Health
   panel report for your current version in the install? I know I’ve seen cases
   where a certain PHP version is the default, but not necessarily used across the
   board for all installs/virtual directories that are running WordPress.

 * [@constantcontact](https://wordpress.org/support/users/constantcontact/) — Thanks
   for the feedback. You are correct: 2 different versions. One for CLI (7.4) one
   for Apache (7.0). Had to go with these command, and then update the install of
   a couple of the php modules:
 * a2enmod proxy_fcgi setenvif
    a2enconf php7.4-fpm
 * The plug-in does seem to have installed and activate now. Thanks again!
