WP has an RSS feed. And if you’re pinging rpc.pingomatic.com you are pinging blo.gs as well. In the Options menu there is a space to add the different services to ping. Just make sure you’ve enabled pinging, of course.

Does anyone know .. when WP pings using PingOMatic, does it “tick” all of the Services to Ping boxes …?
And if not, can WP be modified to do so …?
Thanks!

I’m still not sure how to use the RSS-feed, when i want to ping a site.
Does WP create a RSS-file? and if, how do I then find it…?
nicthgeek, Pingomatic pings everything listed here.
medes, what are you asking? You don’t need the RSS file to ping…you just set the option TO ping. I’m confused.

Now I understand it, I think…. The site i wanted to “ping” needed the http://-adress to get the rss-feed. π
