 * I wanted to place user ratings on the home page.. Also I can not edit the plugin
   files is there a way to take off the permissions.

 * User rating( [yasr_visitor_votes] shortcode) can not be desplayed on the homepage
   yet sorry.
 * About the files permission you should ask to your hosting 😉
