Please try again.” When I try to lopg in as one of my users I get the same thing. However, thankfully, I am still able to log in. I thought this might have to do with Wordfence but I have deleted it and used their WF Assistant plugin to “Remove all Wordfence Data in the Database and elsewhere” which dis not help. Deactivating all other plugins does not help. Creating a completely new user does not help. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. Could that be the problem? If there’s a brand new event with that name, the error message may be relevant to what’s happening inside your blog. * If you must ask your host about it, then you can’t view it immediately. I really appreciate the ideas people had. * In the end the culprit was a GoDaddy plugin called gd-system-plugin. It doesn’t show up in Plugins because it’s in the mu-plugins directory.We removed it and it fixed the problem. However, apparently GoDaddy redeploys it automatically because it came back. But things are working ok with the new version. They muust have pushed a bad version out which never got updated.
