# Please help with installing!

 * Hi, I’m new to wordpress and I’m stuck on installing it.I was reading the instructions
   readme and it says to change your data base connection…
 * “Open up wp-config-sample.php with a text editor like WordPad or similar and 
   fill in your database connection details”
 * I am being hosted by a friend who is letting me use a sub-domain and he gave 
   me webspace also. I logged into the ftp with the information he gave me and tried
   uploading everything. It says error on line 9 in the wp-config.php. Now what 
   my main question is what do I put into the database connection information? Do
   I use my wordpress login details or my ftp information?Here is the information
   it tells me to change, but I am confused on. PLEASE HELP! THank you in advance!

 * You need the database information. If you are hosted by your friend – s/he has
   to give you that.
