# Plesk WordPress Toolkit issues

 * I operate a small hosting service. We use this control panel:
    Plesk Obsidian
   Version 18.0.44 Update #3, last updated on June 16, 2022 04:28 AM
 * Plesk has a WP Toolkit built in which allows us to manage plugins, themes, etc.
   For one particular account, we have autoupdate switched on. I have 25+ WP installs
   over 3 servers, but it appears that this is the only account that has the-events-
   calendar installed – so I don’t have any other accounts to compare against.
 * Problem: this particular domain, for some reason, keeps crashing. More often 
   than not, and I have kept track of this pretty closely, it’s because your plugin
   failed to update properly. Once I manually download and unzip your files, the
   site runs again.

 * I should add that I had the site on another server (Windows 2016) when all of
   this began. It became necessary to move it to a 2nd server (Windows 2012 R2),
   and I was monitoring this site to determine if the update/crash issue would continue.
   Regrettably, it did.

 * I suspect that you’re using PHP 8, which is still incompatible with our plugins.

 * Currently, we do not have any workaround for this one. We’d recommend you downgrade
   to PHP 7.4 — it would be best to use this version, which we fully support.

 * I’m really curious about your setup, as this is unique and we currently do not
   have other customers having this issue.
 * Could you provide the versions of your WordPress and The Events Calendar plugins?
   I’d like to investigate more and see what’s up. Moreover, could you provide us
   with a direct URL to your website?
 * I also suspect that you’re running a lot of plugins and your server resources
   might not be sufficient for the plugins to perform. Have you considered upgrading
   resources? Also would be good if you could update **memory_limit** to at least
   256 and **max_execution_time** to at least 1200.
 * Let me know how it goes. And how you would like to proceed.

 * The site is running:
    WordPress 6.0.1 running Custom 2015 theme. The Events Calendar
   Version 5.16.3.1
 * Also, we have the following. I’ve seen far more in some WP installs.

   Version 2.28 Subscribe2 Version 10.37 The Events Calendar PRO Version 5.14.4 
   Wordfence Security Version 7.5.11 WP-DBManager Version 2.80.8
 * memory_limit was at 128 (default), increasing it to 256.
    max_execution_time 
   was at 60 (default), increasing it to 1200.

 * Could you try deactivating all other plugins except for our plugins to see if
   that makes a difference? Please read the Testing for Conflicts article before

 * I have established a blogdev environment where we can disable all but your plugins.
 * The client will install a slightly older version of your code so that Plesk will
   trigger an update overnight. He will also open a support ticket with you folks.
 * Thank you for your help thus far – I wish other plugin developers were as responsive
   as you folks are.
