Plotting Latest Post Locations On Map

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can steer me in the right location for a plugin.

I require the following functionality:

– A map to be displayed on the homepage that shows latest posts plotted on it using some kind of marker.

This should be configurable. So it may be today that it shows the 5 latest posts plotted, tomorrow it might be 10.

– Map markers should be colour coded, so blue for instance would relate to politics, green would relate to environment.

– Clicking on the marker should send you to the detail page of that post (single view).

– Posts could be tagged with a category but ideally it would be able to work out the location of the individual automatically based on the the authors position when they publish the post.

If there’s anything out there like that, free or not free, I’d really appreciate your suggestions.
