 * It appears that this plugin has been abandoned…?
 * The Pro version is no longer available and the developers are no longer answering
   questions.

 * Maybe, I just tried to buy the Pro extensions, no links or announcements anywhere.
   I’m sending the developers a message . . . we’ll see. Without the Google Drive
   and Dropbox extensions, it’s time to move on?

 * I’m afraid so. Very sorry to hear.

 * Yeah, I think it’s over.
 * No announcement. No response. Nothing.
 * OK . . . moving on.
 * I’ve had so much time-consuming trouble with Duplicator over the last three years(
   definately NOT recommended), I was looking for an alternative.
 * Next up: Updraft I guess. Not that crazy about it, but seems like the only viable
   alternative.
 * I thought about Backup Guard, but they use their own proprietary file format,
   which I don’t want. What happens if THEY abandon their plugin? Developers: Please
   stick with industry-standard backup formats: .zip or .rar.

 * I’ve been using BackupBuddy and I like it. It’s just way overpriced.

 * Thank you. Yes, I’m somewhat familiar with it. My hosting company, Liquid Web,
   recently purchased iThemes / Backup Buddy.

 * My Pro extension send to Amazon S3 has just stopped working, no response from
   developers as noted above.
 * There is no info that I can see on their website, presumably the business has
   failed.
 * I’m sad to see this excellent plugin die.

 * Yep, something happened, seems to be dead, it’s disappointing.
 * I switched to Updraft. Their support has been excellent so far. Feeling more
   comfortable with Updraft now, although I’m still not keen how they break the
   backup into separate .zip files for plugins, uploads, etc. and they do not backup
   WordPress core files at all. Sort of makes sense, but then again, it doesn’t.
 * Also, I’ve decided to not use any plugin that has its own, unique backup file
   format. NO WAY.

 * > how they break the backup into separate .zip files for plugins, upload
 * There are pluses and minuses either way. If you don’t break them out into separate
   zip files, then you’re going to need to download a complete copy of your site
   just in order to undo a dodgy plugin update. For people who have multi-gigabytes
   in their media library, that’s a huge pain point if they’re using a backup solution
   which doesn’t break them out.

 * Good point, thank you.
