I’ve had 2 clients who use this plugin tell me recently that their page views have plummeted when they look at their analytics dashboard. I checked their source code to make sure they didn’t have 2 instances of analytics tracking installed, and actually found that on their homepage – there was NO GA tracking script installed I compared it to my own install and discovered the same thing. All of us had the plugin activated -it shows traffic stats on our dashboard so something is tracking – but when you view the source of a given page – there is no (typical looking) GA tracking code anywhere in the page source. Is this hidden in a java file somewhere? We’re wondering if somehow the code was removed and that is partially to blame for the sudden and dramatic drop in traffic they were seeing. Any ideas?
