 * I was attempting to download/use/integrate the Woocommerce plugin at my site
   that is hosted by Bluehost. I could not complete the process as the confirmation
   email from Woocommerce could not be sent to me.
 * I asked Bluehost why this may be, and the support staff suggested it had something
   to do with my changing the primary domain on my hosting account. They said the
   Woocommerce plugin that I purchased was likely configured to my previous domain
   name. As it is now inactive, it may have hindered my ability to use certain extensions.
 * The solution they suggested was to see if “the Woocommerce plugin vendor could
   move my subscription to another domain name.”
 * Is this solution doable?
 * Is there a difference between woocommerce.com, and the “woocommerce plugin vendor”?
 * Woocommerce.com has confused me further. They are guiding me on a track to create
   an entirely new WordPress site. This is not desirable. It creates many overwhelming
   integration issues.

 * Hi [@classifiedbeautyads](https://wordpress.org/support/users/classifiedbeautyads/),
 * Thanks for reaching out!
 * I’d like to gain clarity on the exact issue you are experiencing, please could
   you clarify the following:
 * > I asked Bluehost why this may be, and the support staff suggested it had something
   > to do with my changing the primary domain on my hosting account. They said
   > the Woocommerce plugin that I purchased was likely configured to my previous
   > domain name. As it is now inactive, it may have hindered my ability to use
   > certain extensions.
 * You have mentioned purchasing a plugin, since WooCommerce core is a free plugin,
   are you referring to a paid extension listed on the WooCommerce.com Marketplace?
 * > The solution they suggested was to see if “the Woocommerce plugin vendor could
   > move my subscription to another domain name.”
   > Is this solution doable?
 * Are you perhaps referring to the [Product Vendors](https://woocommerce.com/products/product-vendors/)
   extension? If yes, you would need to contact us directly via  [WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support](https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/?form=ticket)
   as no support for premium extensions is done here (as per the [forum guidelines](https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products)).
 * > Woocommerce.com has confused me further. They are guiding me on a track to
   > create an entirely new WordPress site. This is not desirable. It creates many
   > overwhelming integration issues.
 * I hear your concern, and understand the confusion this may cause. In order to
   access WooCommerce.com, you would need to sign in to an existing (or otherwise
   create a new) WordPress.com account.
 * Once we have more clarity on the exact issue you are experiencing, we’ll be able
   to provide more accurate guidence.
 * Cheers!

 * Thanks for getting back to me,
 * I am referring to the Woocommerce plugin that was suggested to me as I was setting
   up my theme. It was free to me, I apologize for my mistake. The things paid for
   were domain names, and the theme I am using. I have not officially purchased
   any Woocommerce products.
 * I am following the belief that I should have been able to use the Woocommerce
   plugin directly from my webhost with no problems or extra registration necessary
   though I was denied a confirmation email that was necessary for it’s complete
   set up. I would like to understand why I was not able to use it as it was from
   my Bluehost account.
 * I purchased a domain name in order to get started at Bluehost. I have since changed
   the primary domain name on my account rendering the former one inactive. Bluehost’s
   support staff suggested that maybe the Woocommerce plugin was configured to my
   first domain name, and that is why I had issues finishing the set up.
 * Their proposed solution was asking “the plugin vendor” to transfer my subscription
   to my new domain name. Is this the same as Woocommerce.com or is there another
   possible third party provider of this plugin?
 * I am confused at the requirement for external registration. I feel like this
   means I am not doing something correctly. Does everyone who downloads and desires
   to use this plugin get prompted to create a WordPress.com account? WordPress.
   org is already automatically connected with Bluehost.

 * Hi [@classifiedbeautyads](https://wordpress.org/support/users/classifiedbeautyads/)
 * Thanks for providing further information about your issue.
 * > I am following the belief that I should have been able to use the Woocommerce
   > plugin directly from my webhost with no problems or extra registration necessary
 * You are correct. You can download the WooCommerce plugin from here: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/)
   and go to **Plugins > Add New** to install it. We also have a very detailed guide
   about [Installation via WordPress Admin](https://woocommerce.com/document/installing-uninstalling-woocommerce/#installation-via-wordpress-admin).
 * > though I was denied a confirmation email that was necessary for it’s complete
   > set up.
 * I am very curious about the confirmation email that you are referring to here?
   After installing WooCommerce to my personal site, (if I’m not mistaken) I did
   not receive any confirmation email afterwards.
 * > I purchased a domain name in order to get started at Bluehost. I have since
   > changed the primary domain name on my account rendering the former one inactive.
   > Bluehost’s support staff suggested that maybe the Woocommerce plugin was configured
   > to my first domain name, and that is why I had issues finishing the set up.
 * You can use WooCommerce to any domain name or websites that you own.
 * > Their proposed solution was asking “the plugin vendor” to transfer my subscription
   > to my new domain name. Is this the same as Woocommerce.com or is there another
   > possible third party provider of this plugin?
 * The plugin vendor of WooCommerce is [Automattic](https://woocommerce.com). There
   is no need to transfer your subscription from the old domain to the new domain
   as we’ve said that the plugin is a free one. This is only applicable to those
   subscriptions or products purchased at our marketplace here: [https://woocommerce.com/products/](https://woocommerce.com/products/)
 * > I am confused at the requirement for external registration.
 * To better picture what you are referring to here, can you please share with us
   a clear screenshot of what you see on your end so that we could address you more
   effectively?
 * If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try [https://snipboard.io](https://snipboard.io).
   You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.
 * > Does everyone who downloads and desires to use this plugin get prompted to
   > create a WordPress.com account?
 * I believe it is not necessary to create a WordPress.com account if you will be
   using the WooCommerce plugin, but if you would like to [submit a support ticket here](https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/),
   you would be required to have one.
 * Hope this helps!

 * Hi [@classifiedbeautyads](https://wordpress.org/support/users/classifiedbeautyads/)
 * Thank you so much for sharing the screenshot above!
 * This gives clarity that you are pertaining to the [WooCommerce Payments ](https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-payments/?quid=ee32aed5e601582bce55509b93f0009d)
   plugin here.
 * Now, going back to your original inquiry above, you would like to use the [WooCommerce Payments ](https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-payments/?quid=ee32aed5e601582bce55509b93f0009d)
   plugin for your new domain, however, you are unable to do so since it is still
   connected with your old domain that is already inactive, is this correct?
 * Since this is more of an account concern, please [open a support request](https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/)
   for us to address you more effectively. I will be marking this thread as resolved
   since your concern would be best handled by our Happiness Engineers there.
 * Please also include a link to this thread so that they would know what has been
   done so far.
 * Thanks!
